hello everyone, welcome back to my blog, on this occasion I will tell you what is descriptive text?

Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing.

Structure Descriptive Text

1. Identificabon (Introduction /classification) answer the question about what Specific topic, person, idea.

2. Description (characteristic features), is to contain the special characteristics of the object, place or person being specifically described.

Language Features 

1. Simple present tense

Used to describe facts or circumstances that are constant or recurring.

2. Linking verbs

A verb that connects the subject with the predicate.

3. Adjectives

Adjectives are words used to describe the nature or characteristics of an object.

OSASCOMP 

Opinion (lovely, beautiful, etc.)

Size (big, small, etc.)

Quality (smooth, rough, etc.)

Age (young, old, etc.)

Shape (round, square, etc.)

Color (white, red, etc.)

Origin (Rusia,Nigeria, etc.)

Material (Gold, iron, etc.)

Purpose (learning, cleaning, etc.)

Senses in describing things

Example Descriptive Text About Sea Eagle

The sea eagle has color feathers is light brown. It has a strong and sharp yellowish beak. It claws are very sharp. It hunts for fish in the sea but sometimes in hunts chickens and small birds.

Eagles have many sizes, shapes and colors, but the sea eagle is easy to recognize because it has astrong a streamlined, sharp beak, and a stream-line bod. It forelimbs (or arms) serve a wings.

This means that they are a little use for anything expect flying. On walks on two legs and has a very flexible neck and strong beak to handle foods, to care for its feathers, and for many other jobs that none-flying animals do with paws, claws, or hands on their forelimbs.
